Semiconductor microchip technology is currently being hailed as a crucial industry, with the government investing in developing human resources to Vietnam become one of the important links in the global semiconductor supply chain. The Bachelor’s program in Semiconductor and IC Technology at USTH aims to train high-quality human resources for this promising field of study.
1. INTRODUCTION
The Bachelor’s program in Semiconductor and IC Technology at USTH offers a strong foundation in knowledge and skills for designing, manufacturing, packaging, and testing integrated semiconductor circuits. It prepares students for multidisciplinary and multi-sector careers in areas such as automation, telecommunications, information technology, circuit design, semiconductor manufacturing, smart electronic devices, and beyond.

2. PROGRAM
The training program in English is based on an interdisciplinary approach that integrates Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Material Science, and Data Science. The curriculum is designed to keep pace with the latest trends in the semiconductor industry, fostering creative thinking through a blend of theory and hands-on practice in state-of-the-art laboratories and field trips to companies. In addition, students are equipped with soft skills such as communication, teamwork, analysis, information organization, and critical thinking, enabling them to swiftly adapt and excel in an international work environment. The program also offers numerous domestic and international internship opportunities, especially in France and Europe, thereby enriching students’ practical experience and global exposure.
The Bachelor’s Program in Semiconductor and IC Technology includes 1 foundation year and 2 years of specialization with 180 credits.
