Dear All,
Since our establishment in 2009 under the Intergovernmental Agreement between Vietnam and France, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi, also known as USTH, has become a well-known university in the fields of science, technology, and engineering, affirming our position in the Vietnamese and international education system.
Receiving strong support from the Government of Vietnam, the Government of France, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, a Consortium of more than 30 French universities and research institutions, USTH takes a lead in offering high-quality programs taught entirely in English, following the education model of French and European universities. With highly qualified, young, and enthusiastic staff and lecturers, we are proud to have been building a dynamic international academic environment, harmoniously combining the two cultures of Vietnam and France, becoming a cradle to nurture the passion in science- technology- engineering for young talents. The reputation of USTH has been fostered based on our core values such as respect for diversity, open-mindedness, integrity, giving prominence to quality, solidarity, and determination to be better.
In the context of the industrial revolution 4.0 which is profoundly changing all aspects of life, and creating new trends in human resources, at USTH, we equip students with not only knowledge, skills but also creative capabilities and quick adaptability to become global citizens and future leaders, serving for the industrialization and modernization of the country.
Entering the new phase of sustainable development and expansion, USTH is making strong moves to turn difficulties into opportunities to grow rapidly and thrive towards the goal of becoming an international standard university in the region and the world and a symbol for the cooperation between Vietnam and France.
The achievements of USTH today are the result of persistent efforts, dedication, responsibility, and solidarity of the entire staff, lecturers, researchers, staff, and students together with the great support from the Government of Vietnam, the Government of France, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, universities, research institutions, enterprises of Vietnam, France, Vietnam and many countries around the world.
As the Principal Rector, I am proud of what USTH has accomplished for the past 12 years and have a strong belief in the development potential of USTH in many years to come. I hope that we will work together to drive USTH forward, maximizing our strengths to meet the expectations of the two governments of Vietnam – France.
Warmly Regards,
Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest
