In their strategy to establish an university of medicine, VINMEC has a working visit to USTH today, October 30. The VINMEC delegation, led by Mr. Lê Cự Linh – Deputy Director of VINMEC medical university project management unit, is warmly welcome by USTH Rector Patrick Boiron, Director of Administration Gérard Gasquet and Co-director of Administration Nguyễn Thanh Huyền. Discussions and exchanges are made at the meeting regarding experience in the construction and development of USTH as an international public university of excellence; the mechanism of management; investment policies for short and mid terms; elaboration and modification of the training program and training materials to reach international standards; how to attract Vietnamese and foreign lecturers, management team and staff; the procedures and experience in recruiting students of all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD); quality assurance; research and innovation; and student management, among others. The two sides also discuss co-operation opportunities related to quality evaluation and assurance consulting; exchange of lecturers and researchers; and inviting French experts to work at VINMEC medical university… VINMEC is known as the first general hospital in Vietnam to receive JCI accreditation, and its medical university is expected to start recruitment in the 2016-2017 academic year./.
