A seminar entitled “H2: The energetic vector for the future. Application to the SOFC systems, a “material sciences” approach” is to be presented by Prof. Pascal Lenormand, CIRIMAT University of Toulouse, at 10am, Tuesday 5th April, 2016, at Room 605, 6th floor, Education and Service Building, 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Cau Giay, Ha Noi. Prof. Pascal Lenormand is currently Director of Energy Department at USTH. Abstract: A generalist approach concerning the renewable energies and more specifically the hydrogen as energetic vector for the future will be first presented. A detailed presentation of the fuel cell systems will be done with particular emphasis on the fuel cells working at high temperature (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell). Therefore we will detail the materials used in these systems from the point of view of their functionalities. A “material sciences” approach will be done from the structural and microstructural properties and both the synthesis and shaping processes, more specifically by the liquid route (sol-gel and derived) allowing to provide some solutions for increasing the efficiency of these systems.
