Representatives of University of Science and Technology of Hanoi – USTH (also called Vietnam France University) took part in the Recruitment Day organised by Tuoi Tre Newspaper on January 28th, 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, USTH’s booth will be present at the Recruitment Day series of Tuoi Tre Newspaper in various cities across Vietnam such as Hai Phong (Febebruary 4th), Hanoi (March 11th) and Can Tho (March 18th).
This is an annual event of Tuoi Tre Newspaper with an aim of providing students and parents with details of training programmes, career orientation and admission procedures of universities in Vietnam, thus helping them make the right decision on future majors and careers. It is also a golden opportunity for universities approach and deliver their admission information and programmes to students and parents.
A number of students and parents flocked to the USTH’s booth at the event in Ho Chi Minh City to visit and study its admission information and programmes such as Pharmacological, Medical and Agronomical Biotechnology; Water-Environment-Oceanography, Information and Communication Technology, Energy, Advanced Materials Science and Nanotechnology and Space and Applications.
Besides the emergent of science and technology majors recently, many students and parents have paid a lot of attention to USTH because it is an excellent public international university established under the intergovernmental agreement between Vietnam and France. The university follows European process and offers training courses at three level: Bachelor (3 years), Master (2 years) and PhD (3 years). Its Bachelor and Master programmes were accredited to European standard by The High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES).
All courses of USTH are taught in English with experienced lecturers from Vietnam and overseas, 100% holding PhD degree and above. Additionally, the university possess a system of modern and internationally-standardised laboratories where students can do experiments as well as conduct research. Besides, the dynamic and multicultural international studying environment allows students to develop their independence and creativity in study and research. Moreover, USTH students have opportunities to study and take internship abroad. In 2017, about 75% of third-year students took internship in France, Belgium, Japan, Thailand and so on.
From the academic year 2018-2019, USTH plans to launch 5 new programmes:
- Aeronautical Engineering, cooperated with Vietnam Aviation Corporation or Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company (VAECO), , French Civil Aviation University or École nationale de l’aviation civile (ENAC) and Institut aéronautique et spatial (IAS). Graduates will be employed by Vietnam Airlines.
- Cyber Security
- Chemistry
- Engineering Physics and Electronics
- Applied Mathematics
In addition, USTH provides a one-year preparatory English programme for accepted students whose English is limited to help them improve their English skill.
