During the week 30/4 – 3/5/2015, University of Science and Technology of Hanoi was honored to welcome Delegation of French Consortium consisting of Mr. Bernard Legube, President of Consortium; Mr. Jacques Erschler, Adviser and Ms. Céline Gaussen, Assistant in the framework of their visit to Vietnam. During the visit the delegation had the chance to visit the Department of Biotechnogy – Pharmacology, Department of Nano Technology, Department of ICT, Department of WEO, Department of Space and PLMCC where representatives of Departments introduced the French Consortium with the content of study programs, research fields and gave an insight in the laboratories. The delegation also met the USTH rector and all management board. Both parties shared information about the structure and main activities of USTH and discussed the further cooperation in the future. The discussions were fruitful with all six scientific departments about the current and future projects and the new labs. Especially, in addition to the visit at USTH, during the trip in Vietnam the French Consortium Delataion also had important meetings with Prof. Bui Van Ga, Vice Minister of MOET, Prof. Chau Van Minh, President of VAST and Mr. Jean-Noel Poirier, French Ambassador in Vietnam. The USTH Consortium is a non-profit organisation gathering fifty French universities and research institutes, set up to contribute to the development of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Its core mission is to promote cooperation between French higher education and research institutions and USTH and to support the training of future researchers-lecturers in Vietnam.The Consortium means to help the USTH in training the new researchers-lecturers and so doing, to support the scientific and economic development of Vietnam. The Consortium conducts actions both in France and in Vietnam.
- It leads the network of PhD students working and studying in French research laboratories during 3 years
- It organizes the joint master’s degrees certified by France and Vietnam
In so doing, the Consortium helps to create links between the Vietnamese students scattered in several French cities.
