On October 8, 2018, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) successfully organized the International Day with the participation of 14 French universities and a great number of participants.
Following the biggest annual event promoting French higher education “Bienvenue en France” taking place on October 2018, the “USTH International Day” was jointly organized by USTH and Campus France. The event aims to connect Vietnamese students, lecturers, researchers in the field of science and technology with opportunities for graduate training, applying for scholarship and research collaboration at French universities and research Institutes.
The event was attended by M. Eric Molay, Attaché of Science and University Cooperation of the French Embassy in Vietnam, Assoc. Prof. Dinh Thi Mai Thanh, Acting Rector of USTH, the representative of Campus France as well as representatives of 14 French universities and engineering schools.
Delivering the opening speech, Assoc.Prof Dinh Thi Mai Thanh expressed her sincere gratitude to French partners including universities, research institutes and companies, for their strong support for the development of USTH. Besides, on the occasion of this event, the Acting Rector also desired to build up mutual cooperation with many other new partners in order to make USTH an opened door for young generations to new horizons of knowledge.

Participating at USTH International Day were representatives of several French universities and engineering schools, including national leading training institutions such as Paris-Saclay University, the National Civil Aviation School of France (ENAC) and the International School of Information Treatment Science (EISTI). Students attending the event had the opportunity to learn about the curriculum, scholarship and internship possibilities, as well as the daily life in France.
In addition, through this event, lecturers and researchers inside and outside of USTH were able to meet international partners to establish cooperation for further development of professional and research career. In particular, for USTH students, the International Day is a golden opportunity to discover several aspects of a brand new country as well as to connect with the Vietnamese community in France, from which they can have appropriate plan for the future.
