Recently, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH, the Vietnam – France University) has formally signed the Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement with the University of Paris 13 which aims to provide exchange opportunities for students and staff within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme.
The University of Paris 13 is amongst the 40 French universities and research institutes in USTH Consortium, which constantly supports training and scientific research activities at USTH. This is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe, covering numerous fields of study such as science, social sciences, technology, health, culture, communication, economics, etc. For years, the University of Paris 13 has sent many lecturers and researchers to USTH, to participate in teaching and international research projects. The university has also received USTH undergraduate and graduate students for internships. The Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement has contributed to strengthening the cooperation relationship in training and research activities between USTH and the University of Paris 13.
USTH joined the Erasmus Programme in 2012, and since then has created many exchange study opportunities in prestigious European universities in science and technology for students. The Erasmus Mundus Action 2 – PANACEA project, for example, created opportunities for students and staff from 10 universities in 10 Asian countries (Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Mongolia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, Maldives, the Philippines, and North Korea) to exchange to 10 European universities. Within The Erasmus + Programme, USTH has been sending students to the University of Trento (Italy) and the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU – Lithuania). Furthermore, USTH is also an international partner university of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, a prestigious, integrated, international study programme which allows master’s students to study in more than one country in Europe.
In the near future, USTH is planning to widen its cooperation network within the framework of the Erasmus + Programme, by signing Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreements with the University of Vigo (Spain) and the University of Paris 11 (France).
