USTH Vice Rector Appointment Ceremony

On 18/12/2018, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), the governing body of USTH, held a ceremony to announce the decision on appointing Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang as the Vice Rector of USTH.

Attending the ceremony were Prof.Acad. Chau Van Minh, Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the VAST Party Committee, President of VAST; Prof. Phan Ngoc Minh, Vice President of VAST; as well as representatives from different units directly under VAST.
 

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Prof.Acad Chau Van Minh announced the decision on appointing the USTH Vice Rector to Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang, Former Deputy Director of the Advanced Center for Bio-organic Chemistry, Institute of Marine Biochemistry.

At the ceremony, Prof.Acad. Chau Van Minh expressed his belief that the appointed leading officials will complete their duties at the new position and contribute to the development of their units and VAST.

Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang received his master degree in Chemistry and Pharmacy from Chungnam National University, one of the top 10 universities in Korea and one of the top 100 universities in Asia. In 2013, Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang successfully defended his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Friedrich-Schiller Jena University, which is among the ten oldest universities in Germany and is affiliated with 6 Nobel Prize winners. Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang was previously the Deputy Director of the Advanced Center for Bio-organic Chemistry, Institute of Marine Biochemistry.
