USTH visits Korean universities

University of Science and Technology of Hanoi - USTH (Vietnam France University) visited and had a meeting with Seoul National University and Hanyang University, Korea from 27th to 31st October. 

Seoul National University (SNU) is the oldest and most prestigious university in the country. In 2016 QS World University ranked SNU 35th in the world and 10th in Asia.

Representatives of USTH visited laboratory at Hanyang University

Hanyang University is one of the leading private research universities of South Korea, especially in the field of engineering. The main campus is in Seoul, and its branch, the Education Research Industry Cluster at Ansan, or ERICA campus, is located in Ansan. Hanyang University enrolls about 40,000 students each year with 3,700 foreign students.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Seung Yeal HA - Department of Mathematics, SNU; Prof. Sohn - Dean of Natural Sciences College, Prof. Cheung and Dr. Tran Dinh Phong - Chemistry Department, Natural Sciences College, Hanyang University. Dr. Tran Dinh Phong is the Co-Director of Department of Advanced Materials Science and Nanotechnology, USTH; Prof. Radjesvarane Alexandre - Director of Research, Innovation and Technology transfer and Assoc. Prof. Vu Thi Thu Ha - Director of Administration, USTH.

Representatives of USTH and Hanyang University

The meeting was an opportunity for USTH to introduce about training programs to SNU and Hanyang University as well as discuss with two universities about potential collaboration.

Hanyang University will visit USTH in November in order to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with USTH and Graduate University of Science and Technology. The MOU will give rise to the development of academic cooperation between three educational units.
