From 2022, USTH cooperates with French universities within the USTH Consortium to launch 3 double degree programs: Biotechnology – Drug discovery, Information Technology and Communication, and Chemistry.
Established under the framework of the Vietnam- France Intergovernmental Agreement, USTH has received strong support from the Government of France, the Consortium of more than 40 universities and research institutes in training and research. Our training system follows the Bologna Process, which has been adopted in more than 45 countries in Europe with 16 training fields in science- technology- engineering and English as the teaching language. All of our bachelor’s programs have been accredited internationally by the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES).

Students will start their study for the first two years at USTH, then transfer to our French partner university to complete their 3rd year. Upon graduation, students will be granted two degrees: one from USTH and one from a French partner university.
With the launching of the 3 first French- Vietnamese double degrees, USTH continues to affirm our position in training high-quality human resources in the fields of science- technology- engineering and promote our strength in collaboration with French partners.
With the aim to provide more exchange opportunities in France and career possibilities for students after graduation, USTH plans to open double degree programs for 16 training fields at bachelor’s levels in the upcoming years.
BENEFITS OF DOUBLE DEGREES
The training system follows the Bologna Process implemented in many universities in France and Europe with a study duration of 3 years.
Upon graduation, students will be granted the degree of a French university, which is globally recognized, creating a favorable condition for job seeking or pursuing higher education.

The training duration of the double degree programs is 3 years with total credits of 180 ECTS.
Students will start their studies at USTH for the first 2 years. The teaching language will be in English.
In the 3rd year, they will be transferred to our French partner university. The teaching language will be in French.
During their first 2 years at USTH, they will study French to achieve the B2 level at the end of the 2nd year before transferring to France. Having a good foundation of French helps students to adapt smoothly to the new environment and catch up quickly with their study in France.
Having final results of Grade 11, 12 with average academic results of 5 subjects: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Informatics at least 6.50/10
