Recruitment International Cooperation Senior staff

A. Introduction

University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH), also – called “Vietnam-France University”, is an International standard public university in Vietnam established in 2009 under the Intergovernmental Agreement between Vietnam and France. It has a strong support from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), the French Government, and the Consortium of more than 40 French universities and research organizations.

The training programs of USTH have been accredited by HCERES (The High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education in France). The official teaching language is English. USTH focuses on promoting high quality training programs in parallel with research activities and strong connections with enterprises.


B. Scope of work
  • Assist the Head of International Cooperation Office (ICO) to organize and participate in the meetings with international delegations, visitors and partners of the University, signing ceremonies and other events organized by the ICO and at the request of the Head of ICO;
  • Coordinate and implement short-term international exchange programs, including:
- Work with units/departments and partners of the University to explore needs, synthesize information about international exchange possibilities;
- Develop implementation plans and supporting documents for international exchange programs;
- Implement activities related to international exchange (announcement, application, selection committee, administrative documents, supporting VISA, providing necessary information and support for students and staff, etc.);
- To collect, make statistics and report on international cooperation databases (cooperation agreements, incoming and outgoing delegations, international conferences, workshops and international projects);
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of ICO.
C. Qualifications, skill and experience requirements
  • Bachelor degree in international relations, development studies, education, foreign language, business administration or related majors;
  • High level written and verbal communication skills in English (knowing French or another language is an advantage);
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including negotiation, liaison, and cross cultural communication to work as team member and with a wide range of people.
  • Proven ability to work productively and efficiently, and be self-motivated and independent and focus on deliverables.
  • Well-developed organizational and management skills, including time management and ability to prioritize and manage a range of tasks pro-actively.
