Marketing and Communication Officer

  1. Introduction

With the aim of building an advanced model in the Higher Education system in Vietnam, promoting innovation and bringing the quality of Higher Education in Vietnam to a high level in the region and the world, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) was established in 2010 in Vietnam. USTH is operated under the Intergovernmental Agreement between Vietnam and France, signed on November 12 2009 and the Decision No. 2067/QD-TTg dated December 9 2009 of the Prime Minister. As an international public university with a new model of organization and operation, USTH is offering teaching programs in association with plenty of practical exercises and internships. After 8 years of establishment, USTH has more than 100 academic and administration staff.  

  1. Objectives of the assignment

A Marketing Officer will coordinate and involve in all marketing and communication activities of USTH in order to raise the visibility of the University, to attract new students and to promote the profile of USTH as a whole to external audiences.

  1. Scope of Work

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the followings:

   Be in charge of planning, following up and implementing monthly, annual marketing and communication plans and marketing strategies for USTH;
  • Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations and providing the public with information about USTH (if assigned);
  • When applicable and assigned to, speaking at interviews, press conferences and presentations about USTH;
  • Involving in maintaining and updating information frequently on the University website and on other social media sites for USTH;
  • Working with designers for preparing the production of marketing materials (such as: brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and) other e-marketing materials for USTH;
  • Cooperating with other members of Marketing and Communications Department in organising promotional events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days, tours, school visits and organizing external conferences, ceremony and events for USTH;
  • Involving in conducting internal communications activities and enhancing the teamwork culture by creating and implementing internal activities and campaigns such as: sending weekly/monthly newsletter, updating information board, organizing in-house events…
  • Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports as assigned;
  1. Qualifications, skill and experience requirements
  • Have bachelor's degree in fields, such as: journalism, public relations, marketing and communication or relevant fields
  • At least 01 years working experience in Marketing and Communications. Preferable candidates having experience in education sector.
  • Exellent content marketing writing skills.
  • Good English writing, speaking and translating skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a capacity for problem-solving.
  • Creativity and initiative.
  • Team working skills.
  • Willing to work overtime and during the weekends.
