He emphasized that the title of Associate Professor is not only a recognition of the lecturers’ and scientists’ continuous efforts in teaching and research, but also the beginning of a new stage that comes with higher expectations and greater responsibility. He expressed his hope that the Associate Professors would continue to play a leading role in scientific research, establish strong research groups, develop specialized research directions, and make greater contributions to the development of both USTH and VAST.
In the context of the increasingly important role of science and technology in national competitiveness, professors and associate professors are expected not only to enhance research quality and strengthen international publications, but also to promote knowledge transfer, master key technologies, connect research with practical needs, train the next generation of scientists, and contribute to Vietnam’s socio-economic development.

Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed Associate Professors, Assoc. Prof.Nguyen Hong Nam, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs, shared:
“USTH is a multicultural environment that offers lecturers many opportunities for professional growth. It is a place where we can pursue science according to international standards while remaining closely connected to the practical needs of the country. At USTH, each scientific publication is not only a research outcome, but also the reflection of a journey of self-learning, critical thinking and sharing.
It is within this environment that we have become more deeply aware of our new missions and responsibilities. We understand that today’s appointment to the title of Associate Professor is not the final destination for any lecturer or researcher. Rather, it is an important milestone that reminds us to continue striving, innovating our teaching methods and pursuing in-depth research. In doing so, we hope to contribute to USTH’s strategic goal of becoming a world-class research university and to the advancement of science and technology in Vietnam and the region.”
Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Hong Nam reaffirmed the commitment of the newly appointed Associate Professors to continue making every effort in teaching and research, renewing their mindset and methods, and contributing to the enhancement of academic and training quality at USTH.
Congratulations to the newly appointed Associate Professors. May they continue to nurture their passion, uphold their academic excellence, and make even stronger contributions to the development of USTH, as well as to Vietnam’s education, science, and technology.
