USTH takes part in Final PANACEA Meeting

PANACEA is a EU project aiming to support mobility of students, academics and staff between ten targeted Asian universities (including of Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Mongolia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, Maldives, the Philippines and North Korea) and ten selected consortium European universities (including of France, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Finland, Greece and Lithuania). In the three years of implementation (15/7/2013 -15/7/2015) PANACEA was able to promoted 167 mobility’s. Among the ASEAN countries, Vietnam with its representative university being University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) is defined as third range in term of sending students and staff for short term training in European universities. Students under Bologna Process have been recognized their ECTS credits, while the rest needs certificates habilitated by PANACEA. More than 50% of USTH’s scholarship recipients successfully applied other scholarship for their continued study. The Final PANACEA Meeting held in Bagan, Feb 25-26, 2016 is for summarizing  project experiences and to discuss on the further continuation and collaboration between the Asian and European partners, such as in Malaria research and new possibilities under the Erasmus + Programs.
