The signing ceremony of the double bachelor’s degree program in Chemistry between University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) and USTH

On May 17th, 2022, a cooperation agreement between University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) and  University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) on implementing the double bachelor’s degree in Chemistry was officially signed. The signing ceremony was held in Créteil, Île-de-France, France.

Participating in the ceremony, on the side of UPEC, was Prof. Jean-Luc Dubois-Randé, President, Prof. Martin Schwell, Vice-Dean of the International Relations, in charge of Europe mission, Dr. Jacques Moscovici, Dean of the Sciences and Technology Faculty, Ms. Lam Nguyen, responsible of the double bachelor’s degree program in Chemistry, Ms. Sanae Fukuma, Head Officer of the International Relations; on the side of USTH, was Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest, Principal Rector.

In order to continue to affirm the position and quality of training in the field of science and technology with an ideal international learning environment, from 2022, USTH cooperates with French universities, including UPEC to launch the double bachelor’s  degree program in Chemistry.

According to this cooperation agreement, students will study 2 years at USTH and 1 year at UPEC. Especially, during the time at USTH, students will have the opportunity to hone their knowledge under the guidance of experienced lecturers from UPEC. After graduation, students will receive two degrees, one from USTH and one from UPEC.

UPEC is one of the universities of the USTH Consortium, currently co-awarding Master's degrees in Space with USTH and being a partner in training and science guiding in the Medical Science and Technology program.

At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest and Prof. Jean-Luc Dubois-Randé signed the double degree cooperation agreement between UPEC and USTH, opening up opportunities for study and academic exchange in France for young people who are passionate about Chemistry as well as the desire to experience and develop themselves in an international environment, thereby accessing job opportunities on an international scale.
