International Office

Welcome to the USTH International Office. This office is responsible for the University’s international activity, with the exception of student recruitment.

Our role

The main areas of work of the office include:

  • The implementation of the Internationalisation Strategy, and the creation of an action plan. This includes providing support for the University’s Internationalisation Steering Group.
  • Developing strategic alliances and managing institutional partnerships and collaborations including our membership of the Worldwide Universities' Network.
  • Working with departments to develop their international agendas. This includes international agreements, funding opportunities, information on student exchanges, participation in visits and profile-raising.
  • Managing an ongoing schedule of visits by USTH delegations to institutions in other regions of the world. Please contact us if you think that your department would benefit from involvement in any of these visits.
  • Hosting visits by delegations from international universities and other public bodies to York. If your department is planning to host an international visit and you would like our involvement, let us know.
  • Working with international alumni and donors, in partnership with the Communication Office.
  • Building the international profile for USTH through visits, media coverage, events, and conferences, in partnership with the Communication Office.
  • Developing and managing international opportunities for students.
  • Internationalising the campus, the curriculum and services to staff, students, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Recruiting international students 
We work with staff and students at USTH to ensure wide input into and engagement in the internationalization agenda and welcome comments from anyone who would like to contribute.
