Le Thi Khanh Huyen: "I wish I could return to Trento and relive that time!"

Let’s listen to Le Thi Khanh Huyen, a master student in Medical biotechnology - Plant biotechnology - Pharmacology, sharing her valuable experience of the exchange period at Trento University, in the scope of the Erasmus + program.

After receiving the bachelor degree in Pharmacological, Medical and Agronomical Biotechnology (PMAB) at USTH, Khanh Huyen decided to continue to explore this field by registering for the master program.

5 years of studying at USTH have given Khanh Huyen golden opportunities to broaden her academic and professional knowledge around the world. Specifically, Huyen had a 5-month internship in Marseille, France; pursued by 3 months at Yang-ming University, Taiwan; and most recently an exchange semester at Trento University, Italy.

"I received information about the Erasmus+ program sent by USTH while I was an intern in Taiwan," Huyen said. “Despite several difficulties related to the administrative procedures, I still could well prepare my departure thanks to the tremendous support from both USTH and Trento University.”

At the beginning, Huyen was quite worried because of the intensive courses at Trento University; and the assessment method was “oral examination” rather than using writing exams. However, thanks to the solid background knowledge in Biology, great English proficiency and soft skills acquired at USTH, Huyen quickly caught up with international friends and easily adapted to the new environment.

1 semester of exchange at Trento University is also a beautiful and memorable experience to Huyen. Reminiscing the 5 months in the “best city to live in Italy”, Khanh Huyen excitedly added: "In Trento, beside studying science, I had the opportunity to register to Italian and cultural courses. In addition, the university also offered Italian language or culture courses exclusively for international students; as well as interesting extracurricular activities. “

“But above all, this experience has brought to me a lot of new lovely friends around the world. I will never forget our deep talks through the night, the times my international friends tasting Vietnamese food, or white nights with board games and festivals. I wish I could return to Trento and relive those days once more!
