09:00 PM – 10:30 PM

University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) would like to invite lecturers, researchers, experts, students and others to participate in the Seminar “Mechatronics in the vibration damping systems”, with Prof. Vytautas Bucinskas, Vinius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania.

Time: 9:00 AM, Friday, November 23, 2018
Location: Room 502, 5th floor, A21 Building, 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Cau Giay, Ha Noi

Prof Vytautas Bucinskas

Vibration in the technical applications has double effect – some vibrations are useful, some of them harmful. However, cases of harmful vibrations are much more frequent, so damping systems in technical applications has regularly set up. The implementation of mechatronic damping systems opens multiple perspectives to minimize dimensions of vibration, save energy, and in some cases gain energy using dampers.

With a wealth of experience working in the field of mechatronics, Prof Bucinskas will present the implementation of the mechatronic damping systems with vibration harvesting for the industry.

Prof. Vytautas Bucinskas is currently Head of Department of Mechatronics and Robotics at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), Lithuania. Founded in 1956, VGTU is one of Lithuania's largest public university in the field of technology and engineering. According to the QS World University Rankings - one of the three most-widely read university rankings in the world, VGTU is in the top 4% of world universities. Besides, QS gave the university five stars in teaching, facilities and innovation. VGTU has produced many high-profile alumni in Lithuania, including several prime Ministers, President and politicians of Lithuania.
