Conference and Exhibition on the development of IT human resources

On March 30, 2019, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) will attend the Conference and Exhibition “Developing high quality IT human resources - Strengthening the linkage between university and industry.

The event is hosted by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC), with the participation of the Government, the representatives from MOET and MIC, as well as universities, companies and  students in Hanoi and other provinces.

The event is organized with the aim to find out solutions and proposals to develop the human resources in IT fields by improving the training model, promoting the participation of companies in training activities at universities and strengthening the link between industry and universities.  At the event, the experts will assess the development of high quality IT human resources during the period of 2011-2020 as well as suggest the development orientation for the period of 2021-2030 as the 4th Industrial Revolution has come.

The representative of USTH to attend the conference  will be Assoc. Prof. Luong Chi Mai, Co-Director of the Department of Information and Communication Technology. Besides, USTH will also attend the exhibition by having a stand to display outstanding achievements  , and sign a cooperation agreement with INFORE - an IT company to bring more opportunities of internship and employment for students.

ICT training is one of the strengths of USTH with two main directions: computer science and data science (for bachelor degree); Data science for IoT and infrastructure for IoT (for master degree). Especially, 80% of the subjects are taught by French lecturers.

Thanks to the solid knowledge and soft skills in managing projects, advanced databases and information systems, 98% of ICT students of USTH immediately secure a job or continue to Master, PhD after graduation.
