Prof. Éric Nuss was a renowned and influential professor in the field of space at the University of Montpellier, France. He had been giving lectures at USTH since 2012. He brought valuable knowledge to students and made a great contribution to the establishment and development of the training programs of the Department of Space and Applications (SA). The passing of Prof. Éric Nuss (April 10, 2023) left deep sadness for the staff, lecturers, and students of the SA department in particular and USTH in general.
Since the establishment of the SA department in 2012, Prof. Éric Nuss has actively participated in the development of its Master’s program. At that time it was the first training program in Space in Vietnam. With his strong experience in research and training, Prof. Éric Nuss laid the foundation and contributed to the improvement of the program’s quality.
Prof. Éric Nuss was also an outstanding researcher in the fields of cosmology and astrophysics. He had many remarkable research works which were well – recognized in the international scientific community.
Besides, Prof. Éric Nuss dedicatedly supervised and supported many USTH students when they took internships in France, which helped them gain knowledge and practical experience in the field of space.
Above all, Prof. Éric Nuss has inspired many student intakes of the SA department to pursue and achieve their career goals.
With his warm-hearted nature and dedication, Prof. Éric Nuss will be forever remembered as a great lecturer by USTH staff, lecturers, and students.
