On January 16, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi – USTH (also called Vietnam-French University) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TOPICA Edtech Group, bring more internship opportunities to students of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department of USTH.
The MoU marks an official opening of collaborative opportunities in science and education. Accordingly, TOPICA will provide internship opportunities for ICT students of USTH, allow USTH’s students to take part in TOPICA’s projects as well as priorities USTH graduates in recruitment procedure. Two sides will collaborate in research or product development projects. Furthermore, they will work closely in research and development projects of the ICT field.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Patrick Boiron expressed his belief that the partnership with TOPICA will provide USTH students with valuable opportunities to gain knowledge and practical experience in the ICT field in Vietnam as well as foster the development of this area through joint activities.
Established in 2008, TOPICA is a multinational education technology enterprise, which provides online education solutions in order to promote the high-standard online education model to learners in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
USTH has been launching the Information and Communication Technology programme at both Bachelor and Master level. The Bachelor programme focuses on two majors including Computer Science and Software Engeneering, equipping students with the fundamental understanding of computing and system administration, then the professional knowledge of information systems, advance databases and eventually management of projects.Students graduated from USTH are highly appreciated by IT companies for their professional background, working skills and language competence.
Meanwhile, the Master programme equips students with knowledge related to different streams within the growing ICT industry, including Web Engineering stream roles, networking stream roles, generic streams roles, such as IT specialists and IT project managers.
