The Master in Space: Earth Observation, Astrophysics, Satellite Technology from USTH is the only training program in Vietnam for future scientists participating in the new era of space science and technology development. Graduates receive awards from the USTH and one of its French partners.

1. OVERVIEW
1.1. General information
The Master in Space program is designed to train future scientists who will participate in the development of space science and technology in the next decades, in Vietnam and worldwide. The master’s degree is co-led by the USTH and one of three French partners: Université Paris Cité, Observatoire de Paris and Université Paris Est-Créteil. Courses are taught by highly qualified and experienced lecturers from the USTH and French universities with additional support from the Vietnam National Space Center (VNSC), the Space Technology Institute (STI), and the Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES). The Master in Space follows the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).

2. PROGRAM
2.1. Curriculum
The master’s degree is organized in four semesters:
- M1 semester S1 (30 ECTS): 6 common modules and two branches of specialization
- M1 semester S2 (30 ECTS): 4 common modules, two branches of specializations, and a 2-month internship
- M2 semester S3 (30 ECTS): 11 common modules
- M2 semester S4 (30 ECTS) a six-month internship in research laboratories, mostly in France
Students can practice in the laboratory, on the computer or in the field: computer room, SPACE Lab, astronomical observation station at Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE), satellite image acquisition station of the Vietnam National Remote Sensing Center (RSC).

3. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants to the program must meet the following admission requirements:
- A solid grounding in physics
- A good command in English
- A passion for space: satellite earth observation, astrophysics, satellite technology, New Space, …
M1 recruitment procedure:
Two phases: An examination of the application file and an oral interview, with the possibility of a video interview. Candidates will be interviewed in English by the Admission Committee made up of professors.
M2 recruitment procedure:
Candidates with the same qualifications as for Year 1 and wishing to apply directly for Year 2 will be interviewed by a panel of USTH professors.
