The Department of Applied Engineering and Technology was established in 2009 with the mission of providing high-quality human resources for the Vietnamese and international labor market in the energy industry to develop research and applications of science, technology, and engineering in socio-economic development.
Currently, the Applied Engineering and Technology consists of three training programs at the bachelor level, including:
- Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy
- Mechatronics Engineering Technology
- Automotive engineering
All training disciplines focus on the key areas of science and technology in the 4th industrial revolution as well as towards ensuring the sustainable development of the economy, society and environment. Training programs focus on equipping students with up-to-date knowledge to meet the ever-changing and increasing demands of society. Students will be equipped with solid foundational knowledge and practical skills, as well as necessary soft skills to ensure students’ readiness to enter the competitive labor market and their future career at higher education. The Department of Energy works closely with universities, research institutions, and businesses in Vietnam and France to provide students with practical opportunities, internships, and rich job prospects after the graduation.
In addition to training, the Department of Energy also conducts many research activities in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency improvement systems as well as automation and intelligent control systems.
