On December 20th, 2022, USTH organized the Graduation Ceremony for Ph.D, Master, and Bachelor Graduates in the academic year 2022-2023.
Participating in the ceremony were Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dinh Thi Mai Thanh – Rector, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Hai Dang – Vice Rector, directors of departments, officials, lecturers, researchers of USTH together with new doctoral, master, and bachelor graduates in 2022 and their families.
Opening the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest congratulated the new doctorates, masters, and bachelors, and praised their efforts during their study and research at the university. Especially in the context of facing many challenges due to the Covid pandemic, they had turned difficulties into motivation to rise up, become strong and achieve today’s success.
Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest stated that there are big changes in Vietnam’s economy, science, and technology, so the need for high-quality and dedicated human resources who have bachelor’s, master’s, and especially doctoral degrees is increasing. Therefore, students play an important role in the development of the country. Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest hopes that in the future, USTH’s new PhDs, masters and bachelors will take up important positions in public or private organizations and enterprises, and at the same time become ambassadors and contribute to spreading the image of USTH to the community.
On behalf of the Rectorate, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest thanked the officers, lecturers, and staff of the university for their dedication to training, research, and support for new PhDs, masters, and bachelors. Besides, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest thanked the parents for choosing USTH and accompanying the university in the past time.
In the next session, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Hai Dang – Vice Rector announced the Decision on accrediting and issuing PhD, Master and Bachelor diplomas in the academic year 2022-2023. This is an important milestone marking the growth of new bachelors, masters and doctoral students after a long process of study and research under the guidance of lecturers and researchers at USTH.
Also at the ceremony, USTH awarded the graduates who got excellent academic achievements to praise their efforts and hard-working attitudes.
On behalf of the new graduates, speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Bui Huyen Thuong expressed her joy and happiness when she became a new bachelor in Water – Environment – Oceanography (new name Applied Environmental Sciences). Huyen Thuong talked about her dreams and goals when choosing USTH. With the knowledge and skills accumulated during her study, Huyen Thuong said she feels confident to step out into the big world and start a new journey. Huyen Thuong thanked the lecturers, friends, and family for being a solid support to help her overcome all challenges. She also shared her words of wisdom to new graduates“On the upcoming journey, believe in yourself and make wise choices.”
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest and Assoc. Prof. Dinh Thi Mai Thanh awarded degrees to USTH’s new PhDs, masters, and bachelors in the academic year 2022-2023.
