On the morning of October 17, 2023, at the Complex 01 Building (Hanoi), the event “Forum Horizon Innovation 5.0” with the theme “Innovation for Sustainable Development” was officially kicked off.
The event is organized by the French Embassy in Vietnam and the French Institute in Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Vietnam. The forum is open to the public and takes place over two days, October 17 and 18, 2023.
University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH), as the largest collaborative project in the field of higher education between France and Vietnam, participates in the two main activities of the event: Exhibition and Seminar.
“Forum Horizon Innovation 5.0” takes place in the context of commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.
It serves as a platform for Vietnamese and French scientists and businesses to convene, exchange ideas, and propose innovative initiatives with the aim of tackling global challenges in pursuit of sustainable development.
The event showcases information and products from large organizations and enterprises, including Airbus Group, VinIF, Schneider Electric Group, French Research Institute for Development (IRD), Gameloft, BK Holdings, VTC Academy, and Vietnam Airlines.
USTH’s Fablab Creative Space, Department of Space and Applications, and Department of Life Sciences take the opportunity to exhibit their results of research and creative endeavors. The USTH exhibition area garners the attention and interest of numerous visitors and forum participants.
In addition to the exhibition, a series of six seminars on “hot” topics related to challenges in technical innovation and green innovation is the highlight of the event. Two USTH lecturers are actively involved in the seminars. They serve as speakers in seminars discussing “Space and Climate Change” and “Utilizing AI/BIG DATA for the Betterment of Humanity.”
