The Fundamental and Applied Science (FAS) department of the USTH was founded in 2018 and currently manages the Bachelors of Chemistry and Applied Mathematics. The research activities of FAS department are grouped within the Chemistry for Energy Conversion and Storage (CECS) research group, to which 13 people will contribute at the end of 2021, also supervising the activity of Master’s and Bachelor:
The overal strategy of FAS department is to establish and consolidate a competent and international group on 4 main research directions as follows:
- Solar hydrogen production & uptake, solar CO2 reduction
- Electro & photocatalysis
- Functional nanomaterials
- Photoelectrochemical cell engineering
