On January 27, 2021, at the University of Science and Technology Hanoi, the MOU signing ceremony between USTH and AESC was held. The MOU is the first step to recognize official cooperation activities and depth between the two sides in the future.
Attending the ceremony, on AESC’s side, there were Mr. Tran Hai Dang – General Director of AESC, Mr. Nguyen Thao – Director of Project Development, and representatives of some departments. On the USTH side, there is Prof. Etienne Saur – Principal Rector of USTH, Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang – Vice-Rector and other representatives of the Faculty and relevant Departments.
At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Hai Dang introduced the milestone of the formation and development of AESC Aviation Technical Services Joint Stock Company. Founded in 2008 by a group of enthusiastic and experienced aviation engineers in the Vietnamese aviation industry. After more than 10 years, AESC is proud to be the first private enterprise in Vietnam to be certified by CAAV, EASA, and FAA as a Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organization, by CAAV as Part 21G Approved Production Organization and Part 21J Approved Design Organization, by EASA as Part 21G Approved Production Organization. AESC is gradually expanding its capabilities to provide products and services globally by offering various aviation solutions of high-quality, cost-effective, and in compliance with the highest industry standards.
In the next part, the two sides had an open discussion related to development opportunities. With experience in training and supporting local and international students, AESC would support USTH students in advance during their learning, practicing and development in a professional environment according to global standards. Thereby, USTH students not only achieve the requirements of local aviation businesses but also reach out oversea. That is also what Mr. Tran Hai Dang – General Director of AESC emphasized.
Mr. Laurent Brault – Deputy Head of Aviation Department said that USTH’s Bachelor of Aeronautical Maintenance and Engineering Operations is currently deployed the strong support of Airbus and its partners Vietnam Airlines, Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (VAECO), French National Civil Aviation College (ENAC) and France Aerospace Institute (IAS). With strong support from organizations and businesses, students have been facilitated in the process of learning and practice. Therefore, USTH is looking forward to expanding cooperation with businesses to have training programs meet the recruitment market as well as to create great chances for students in the learning process and practice. He hoped that the cooperation between USTH and AESC would facilitate the students’ internships and study more about aerospace design, manufacturing, maintenance,… from AESC.
According to Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang – Vice-Rector of USTH, the cooperation would give opportunities not only to students in Aeronautical Maintenance and Engineering Operations, but also for students in Mechatronics Engineering Technology, and related majors.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Etienne Saur – Principal Rector of USTH, and Mr. Tran Hai Dang – General Director of AESC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides, opening up opportunities for cooperation and extensive development.
