The International Cooperation Department (hereinafter referred to as the ICO for short) manages and implements all international activities as well as domestic partnerships fostered by the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi such as Bilateral agreements, International cooperation events, and Double degrees. The department is tasked with advancing establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with partners (domestic and foreign) to promote the development of the school in all strategic activities.
The department supports incoming foreigners in the pre-arrival and arrival activities (visa, stay permit and other administrative procedures) whether students, doctoral candidates, researchers, experts, and scholars. Furthermore, the department supports the exchange, internship programs, and international cooperation agreements of the university with over 160 agreements in 20 countries worldwide such as France, Italy, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
While internationalisation at USTH is quite strong, further advancement in the areas of study and teaching is a priority. USTH is implementing comprehensive international cooperation activities in all aspects, including cooperation in scientific research, exchange of lecturers and students, and cooperation in building and developing joint training programs.
