The University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) has recently achieved another important milestone as four of our training programs have been officially accredited by the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES).
Under the evaluation framework of the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education, accreditation outcomes are determined based on the extent to which an institution or academic program satisfies a comprehensive set of quality standards. Based on the overall level of compliance, HCERES may grant one of four outcomes: no accreditation, or accreditation for a period of two years, three years, or five years.
Four USTH programs were awarded the maximum accreditation period of five years, the highest level granted within the HCERES framework.
The accredited programs include Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy, and Aeronautical Engineering.
This achievement builds upon a previous milestone reached in October 2023, when the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education granted institutional accreditation to USTH.
The successful accreditation of these programs reflects the sustained efforts of USTH’s lecturers, researchers, administrative staff, and students in strengthening academic programs, advancing research activities, and fostering an educational environment that meets global benchmarks.
Looking ahead, USTH remains committed to further enhancing the quality of its academic programs and expanding international accreditation across all fields of training. By strengthening its quality assurance framework and deepening international collaboration, the university seeks to reinforce its academic reputation and progressively elevate its global standing. USTH also aims to advance its position in the QS World University Rankings and pursue its long-term ambition of joining the Top 200 universities worldwide.
On this occasion, USTH would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Embassy of France in Vietnam and the USTH Consortium for their continuous support. Their contributions have played a significant role not only in the success of the accreditation process but also in the long-term development of USTH as a university operating in accordance with international standards.
