On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Vietnam, the French Embassy and the French Institute in Vietnam are organizing the event “Forum Horizon Innovation 5.0” with the theme “Innovation for Sustainable Development” on October 17-18, 2023.
The detailed information is as follows:
- Location: Complex 01 (No. 29 Lane 31, Alley 167 Tay Son Street, Quang Trung Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi)
- With the support of: VinIF, Schneider Electrics, Airbus, BK Holdings, USTH, IRD, CFVG, and Vietnam Airlines, the event’s exclusive and official aviation partners.
This forum marks a new era of French-Vietnamese cooperation, focusing strongly on innovation initiatives to address global challenges such as equitable energy transition and the need for training to create opportunities and solutions for future generations.
The event will consist of two main activities: Seminar and Exhibition. At the seminar, six topics related to challenges in technical innovation and green innovation will be discussed from the perspectives of leading businesses, experts, and researchers. The main content to be exchanged and discussed includes:
- Sustainability: Sustainable innovation with the goal of providing solutions to global challenges.
- Human: Transforming individuals and personal needs into the focus of the innovation process.
- Resilience: The emergence of innovative forms in the context of coping and adapting to rapidly changing circumstances.
Languages of the seminar: Vietnamese and French.
USTH will have two speakers participating as presenters at the seminar:
- Assoc. Prof. Ngo Duc Thanh, Co-Director of the Space and Applications Department, participating in Session 2 on the afternoon of October 17 with the theme “Changes in Space and Climate”;
- Dr. Tran Giang Son, Co-Director of the Information and Communication Technology Department, participating in Session 4 on the morning of October 18 with the theme “Using AI/BIG DATA for Humanity”.
In addition, USTH will also participate in the Exhibition with three booths showcasing the products from Fablab, Department of Space and Applications, and Department of Life Sciences.
