On April 6th, 2023, the recruitment commitment contract between Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company Ltd (VAECO) and University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) was officially signed.
Participating in the ceremony, on the side of VAECO was Mr. Pham Minh Hiep – Deputy Director General, Mr. Tran Viet Quang – Head of Human Resources, Mr. To Mai Vinh – Deputy Director of Training Center; on the side of USTH was Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector, Assoc. Prof. Ngo Quang Minh – Deputy Director of Department of Aeronautics, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Trang – Deputy Head of Department of International Cooperation.
Under this commitment, VAECO will recruit 18 USTH bachelors of Aeronautical Engineering (class of 2019-2022) being a trainee of USTH who completes the B1 + B2 -oriented Bachelor’s Degree program, is awarded the Bachelor’s degree by the university, having Aircraft Maintenance Basic Training Cat B1+ B2 Certificate approved by the CAAV (in order of priority: Distinction, Good).
At the Signing Ceremony, Mr. Pham Minh Hiep, Deputy Director General of VAECO expressed his confidence in the quality of the Aeronautical Engineering program at USTH and expected that the cooperation relationship between USTH and VAECO would be increasingly tightened and more developed in the near future. Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest, Principal Rector of USTH, also believed that: “This recruitment commitment continues to mark another milestone in the development of a “model” training program with the cooperation of the company and the university. The program was built with the goal of training high-quality human resources in the field of aircraft maintenance to meet the strong development of Vietnam’s aviation industry. With VAECO’s strong support in training, students can learn theory in close combination with practice with experienced engineers at VAECO’s maintenance workshops to accumulate knowledge and soon get familiar with the professional workplace”.
At the end of 2022, the signing ceremony of a labor contract between Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company Ltd (VAECO) and USTH’s graduated Aeronautical Engineering bachelors (class 2018-2021) took place, marking a new beginning for USTH graduates on the way to become engineers and experts in the field of aircraft maintenance. This is the first class of students graduating from USTH’s Aeronautical Engineering program to be recruited by VAECO within the framework of an agreement on cooperation in training high-quality human resources in the field of aircraft maintenance signed between USTH, Vietnam Airlines and VAECO.
