1. Introduction
University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) is an international standard public university in Vietnam established in 2009 under the Intergovernmental Agreement between Vietnam and France. It has a strong support from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), the French Government, and the Consortium of more than 40 French universities and research organizations.
The training programs of USTH have been accredited by HCERES (The High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education in France). The official teaching language is English. USTH focuses on promoting high quality training programs in parallel with research activities and strong connections with enterprises.
2. Objectives of the assignment
Along with the strong support from Airbus, Vietnam Airlines, VAECO, French Civil Aviation University (ENAC) and the France Aerospace Institute (IAS), USTH has launched the Aeronautical Engineering training program at Bachelor’s and the International Air Transport Operations Management (IATOM) at Master’s level.
Aeronautical Engineering graduates will go through professional trainings, have good English skills and be able to work for the local and international airlines.
In order to develop this program, USTH is looking for lecturers in these following fields, namely :
- Propulsion
- Structures Materials
- Systems Avionics
Qualifications and skills:
- Having a Master Degree, PhD or Engineering diploma in the field of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Structural and Materials, Electrical Engineering, Electronics…
- Fluency in English,
- Ability to develop/deliver new courses with an efficient pedagogic method using materials and good methodology under the support of experienced lecturers.
- Ability to teach aeronautics.
3. Scopes of Work
- Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the followings:
- Giving courses on these following fields:
+ Thermal systems
+ Gas Turbine Engines
+ Safety & Human factors
+ Flight operations
+ Maintenance practices
+ Introduction to aeronautics
+ Aerodynamics & Flight mechanics
+ Materials
+ Metrology & Computer science
+ Maintenance practices
+ Aircraft systems
+ Electrical power
+ Hydraulic + pneumatic power
+ Automatism
+ Maintenance practices
- Participating in training and producing course materials;
- Evaluating students’ performance;
- Performing academic and research tasks assigned or required as other lecturers of USTH;
- Performing others tasks assigned or required by the Directors of Department of Aeronautics.
