The INNO-INSPIRATION USTH 2023 Contest Final and Award Ceremony was held as a part of the launching ceremony for USTH Innovation Hub on March 1, 2024.
Launched in October 2023, this contest aimed to ignite student passion for research and entrepreneurship. The competition drew widespread enthusiasm from USTH students, leading to an intense selection process. After two rounds of rigorous evaluations, the panel chose ten exceptional ideas for funding, enabling teams to further develop their products. The finals provided these teams a platform to showcase their hard work and innovation after over four months of dedicated effort.
The competition’s jury was composed of experienced scientists and experts, including Dr. Do Hoang Tung – Deputy Director of Institute of Physics and Head of the Jury; Mr. Nguyen Danh Ngoc – Deputy Head of R&D in AI and Data Analytics at Toshiba’s TSDV Group; Assoc. Prof. Le Thi Nhi Cong from Institute of Biotechnology; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Duong – CEO of Vietnam Gut Health Company; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh – CEO of YITEC Technology Research and Development Company; Dr. To Thi Mai Huong – Deputy Head of Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer; and Dr. Hoang Trung Kien – Director of Department of Applied Engineering and Technology at USTH.
With a commitment to fairness and responsibility, the jury selected the most innovative and impactful projects to award: a First Prize of 10 million VND, a Second Prize of 7 million VND, two Third Prizes of 5 million VND each, and two Consolation Prizes of 3 million VND each.

Consolation Prize: Nguyen Thi Hong Ngoc, Nguyen Khanh Linh, Tran Huong Giang for the project “Investigating Antimicrobial and Antioxidant ability of Vietnamese agricultural byproducts for food preservation”
Consolation Prize: Nguyen Duc Hung, Phan Minh Tri, Duong Dai Nhan for the project “Smart AGV in public space”
