Research interests
Energy efficiency in smart buildings: My research investigates optimization and AI-based control methods for smart building energy systems, with the aim of reducing energy consumption while maintaining occupant comfort. I focus on combining mathematical optimization (e.g., MPC, convex optimization) with machine learning techniques such as reinforcement learning and federated learning. The research addresses challenges in multi-building coordination, renewable energy integration, and uncertainty in occupancy and weather, aiming to develop scalable and practical solutions for real-world smart buildings and smart campuses.
