Participating in the meeting were also Assoc. Dr. Dinh Thi Mai Thanh – Rector, Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang – Vice-Rector, Mr. Aramazd Muradyan – Second Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Vietnam.
At the meeting, on behalf of the Rector Board, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest extended his warm welcome to Mr. Vahram Kazhoyan and shared with him the development stories and future plans of USTH.
Before coming to Vietnam and USTH, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest had lived and worked in the Republic of Armenia for 5 years. He held the position of Rector of the University of France (UFAR) there. Due to his contributions, he was awarded the Order of Honor of the Republic of Armenia by the Government of Armenia.
Prof. Jean- Marc Lavest emphasized that the strength of USTH lies in its training model, which adopts the Bologna process of French and European universities with all the courses taught entirely in English. He expressed his hope that in the near future USTH can become a favorite destination for Armenian students to pursue their higher education at bachelor- master- doctorate levels, thereby helping to promote the cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Armenia.
One behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Vietnam, Mr. Vahram Kazhoyan thanked the Rector Board of USTH for the warm welcome and expressed his expectations for the future cooperation between USTH and the leading universities of Armenia. Mr. Vahram Kazhoyan said that Vietnam and the Republic of Armenia have just signed a cooperation agreement, laying the foundation for many joint programs and projects between the two countries, in which higher education is an important field with great potential for development.
The meeting ended successfully, opening new opportunities for cooperation between the two parties.
