University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH, also called Vietnam France University) would like to call for the additional admission for academic year 2019-2020

Eligibility

Vietnamese and international students graduated from high school in 2018 or before 2018, with good academic standings for scientific subjects

Admission procedures and criteria

USTH’s enrollment is based on evaluating academic results in high school, and admission interview and national exam result

Admission criteria

Having final results of Grade 11, and 12 at Good rank and average academic results of 6 subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, IT and English at Grade 11, and 12 must reach at least 6.5/10 or higher;
High school graduating*;
Attending National Exam** with a selection of 3 subjects among these 5 subjects as follows: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with result equals to or higher than the minimum mark of USTH for quality assurance which is 17 points and there is no subject under 4;
Pass admission interview organized by USTH *;

Note:

*Students may choose English or Vietnamese for interview. The interview aims to evaluate students’ English proficiency, academic ability and motivation. After the interview, accepted candidate will take an English test which decides their suitable placement: 3 -year program, 4-year program or intensive English course (if any)

*For applicants graduated in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018: besides the condition (1) and (2), they must ensure the attendance in national exam with a selection of 3 subjects among these 5 subjects as follows: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with result equals to or higher than the benchmarks USTH in that year.

For applicants graduated before 2015: besides the condition (1) and (2), they must ensure the attendance in national University Entrance exam in blocks A, A1, and B with results equal to or higher than the benchmarks of USTH in that year.

*In case there is any differences in the education system and/or grading system as compared to the Vietnamese system, students are requires submitting a document in Vietnamese or English, issued or certified by competent authority explaining the education system or grading system. Candidate may be asked to participate in a competency assessment excam by the Admission Committee.

* For applicants, who graduated before 2019, besides the above requested dossiers, they must submit the copy of certificate on national university entrance exam result in the graduation year

Admission fees and tuition fees

Admission fee: 500,000 VND/candidate, nonrefundable in all cases
