On April 1st, 2024, USTH formalized its partnership with Vietnam National Cyber Security Technology Corporation (NCS) by signing a cooperation agreement. This significant step forward aims to enhance collaboration between the university and the company, opening doors to numerous opportunities for USTH students.
At the ceremony, representing NCS were Mr. Bui Viet Phuong – Chief Growth Officer (NGS), Ms. Nguyen Dieu Anh – Chief Operations Officer (NCS) cum Chief People Officer (NGS), Ms. Dao Thi Viet Phuong – HR Manager (NCS); representing USTH were Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector, Dr. Tran Giang Son – Co-Director of Department of Information and Communication Technology, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Nga – Head of Department of Student Affairs, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Trang – Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation.
After introducing and welcoming the delegates attending the ceremony, the representatives of USTH and NCS made remarks on the cooperation between the two parties.
Vietnam National Cyber Security Technology Corporation (NCS) is a company in the NGS’s Ecosystem – comprehensive technology consulting and software development service provider. NCS operates in the field of technology, providing solutions & services for cyber security, information security, system integration, as well as IT & telecommunication packaging solutions. Aims to become a market leader, NCS has been focusing on investment, research & development of professional products and services, training and building up a team of experts in technology and cyber security.
In March 2024, NCS coordinated with Department of Student Affairs (USTH) organized the event “Grab the chance” to bring a lot of useful updated information about the industry, labor market and job positions in the technology field in general and at the company in particular for students of Department of Information and Communication Technology.
Making an opening remark, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector of USTH, expressed his delight at the new milestone in the partnership between USTH and NCS. Professor emphasized the importance of higher education in Information and Communications Technology (ICT). He hoped that this cooperation would enhance Master and PhD training at USTH as NCS’s staff can join the programs and the two parties can cooperate to design/edit post graduate ICT training programs at USTH.
In addition, Dr. Tran Giang Son – Co-Director of Department of Information and Communication Technology (USTH) recommended that USTH can send Cyber Security students to NCS to work as freshers since NCS is currently one of the top cybersecurity solution providers in Vietnam. Agreed with representatives of USTH, on behalf of NCS, Mr. Bui Viet Phuong – Chief Growth Officer (NGS), affirmed that NCS would like to offer internship and job opportunities for USTH students, not only Bachelor but also Master ICT students. Moreover, NCS will send staff to USTH for higher education in the field of information technology in general and network security in particular.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest and Mr. Bui Viet Phuong signed the cooperation agreement between USTH and NCS, opening up training as well as internship and job opportunities for students and staff of the two parties in the near future.
