From 8 January to 16 January 2026, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) successfully organized the USTH Internship & Job Fair 2026, featuring a series of skill development workshops under the theme “Boosting Skills for Success” and the main event – USTH Job Fair 2026.
This event series created a dynamic platform for multi-dimensional engagement between the University, students, and industry partners, equipping USTH students with the essential competencies to confidently enter both domestic and international labor markets.
“Boosting Skills for Success” – A Journey Toward Comprehensive Career Readiness
The event series began with three skill development workshops held from 6 January to 14 January 2026 under the theme “Boosting Skills for Success.” Carefully designed around three key topics:
- “CV Excellence – Portfolio Impact: Build Your Professional Story”
- “Decoding Company Culture & Workplace Etiquette”
- “Passport to the World: A–Z Guide to International Scholarships”
These workshops offered students a structured and in-depth journey toward career readiness.

Workshop 1: “CV Excellence – Portfolio Impact: Build Your Professional Story”
Rather than delivering isolated skills, the workshops were designed as interconnected stages of a complete career development pathway. Students were guided step by step—from identifying and presenting their personal value through CVs and portfolios, to understanding how to integrate and perform effectively in multicultural professional environments, and ultimately expanding their global outlook through international scholarship and mobility opportunities.

Importantly, the workshops served as a strong foundation, equipping students with essential skills and confidence, and preparing them to actively engage with employers at the USTH Job Fair 2026.
USTH Job Fair 2026 – Strengthening Partnerships and Advancing Science & Technology Talent
The USTH Job Fair 2026, held on the morning of 16 January 2026 at Building 2H, USTH campus, marked the highlight of the entire event series.
The event welcomed distinguished attendees, including:
- Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Thai – Executive Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and Chairman of the USTH University Council
- Members of the University Board of Management
- Representatives of faculties and departments
- More than 40 domestic and international companies participating as recruiters, partners, and sponsors
- A large number of lecturers and students
Notably, the number of participating companies doubled compared to the previous year, demonstrating the growing attractiveness of USTH students in the labor market, as well as the increasing trust and long-term collaboration between the University and the business community.

In her opening speech, Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Mai Thanh, President of USTH, emphasized that the Job Fair is a key annual event serving as a two-way bridge between the University and industry. Beyond recruitment and scholarship opportunities, enterprises actively engage in the training process, contributing to the alignment of academic programs with real-world demands.
She highlighted the effectiveness of industry-integrated training models, notably the Aerospace Engineering program in collaboration with Vietnam Airlines, which has enabled graduates to transition seamlessly into the workforce. This model will continue to be expanded in the future.

From a strategic perspective, Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Thai underscored the importance of the Job Fair as a practical platform for university–industry collaboration, especially in the context of rapidly evolving demands for science and technology human resources. He noted a shift in educational thinking, where students are considered key “outputs” of the institution, and training quality is measured by their ability to meet societal and industry needs.
He emphasized that early involvement of enterprises in the training process—through competency development and practical environments—will produce a more adaptable and sustainable workforce.
The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology reaffirmed its commitment to supporting USTH in strengthening connections with government bodies, enterprises, and employers, as well as in continuously improving training programs and promoting research–application collaboration aligned with real-world needs. This tripartite cooperation is expected to produce graduates who are not only academically strong but also equipped with professional skills, mindset, and ethics.

Enhancing Student Engagement and Employability
During the Job Fair, USTH students participated in a wide range of practical activities, including:
- Exploring internship and job opportunities at company booths
- Engaging in career networking sessions by discipline
- Receiving CV consultations and participating in mock interviews with recruitment experts
These activities enabled students to gain direct exposure to real recruitment processes, improve employability skills, and build confidence in entering the job market.
Acknowledgement and Future Outlook
The University also presented commemorative awards to sponsoring partners in recognition of their valuable contributions to the success of the event.

USTH Job Fair 2026 once again reaffirmed the University’s commitment to linking education with practice, placing students at the center, and positioning enterprises as strategic partners.
USTH sincerely appreciates the continued support and trust of its partners and sponsors, and looks forward to expanding collaborations to jointly develop high-quality science and technology human resources that meet the demands of national development in the new era.
