On November 26, 2024, 130 scientists from 14 countries and territories around the world gathered in Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) for the 4th International Conference on Earth and Environmental Sciences. This conference was a collaborative effort organized by the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), the Meet Vietnam Science Association, and the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH).
During the conference, the participants presented their latest scientific achievements and research findings across various domains, including geology, atmospheric sciences, hydrology, environmental sustainability, and emerging technologies in earth science and environment. It also served as an opportunity for the scientific community to share valuable experiences about current trends and practical solutions in the field of earth science and environment.
One of the conference highlights was the active involvement of young researchers from both local and international universities and institutes. They demonstrated their creativity and expertise by presenting their research outcomes, discussing their future career paths, and actively engaging in dialogues with established experts in earth and environmental sciences.
Representing the organizing committee, Assoc. Prof. Ngo Duc Thanh, Director of Department of Space and Applications of USTH emphasized that the main goal of this conference series is to establish a leading interdisciplinary forum, which facilitates discussions among scientists, doctoral students and practitioners about cutting-edge innovations and developments in earth and environmental sciences.
Moreover, the conference is dedicated to enhancing networking and collaborative opportunities among attendees through the sharing of knowledge from diverse fields.
Assoc. Prof. Ngo Duc Thanh also noted the essential role of earth and environmental sciences in protecting our planet and promoting sustainable development. These disciplines are crucial for understanding and forecasting natural disasters, protecting the environment, and managing natural resources efficiently.
