On April 19th, 2023, a cooperation agreement between University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) and University of Luxembourg (UNILUX) was officially signed. The signing ceremony was held online.
Participating in the ceremony, on the side of USTH was Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Trang – Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation; on the side of UNILUX was Prof. Jens Kreisel – Rector; Prof. Dr. Jean-Marc Schlenker – Dean of Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine, Dr. Lourdes Annoussamy – Senior Consultant, Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine, Ms. Alison Vermeulen – International Relations Officer.
After introducing and welcoming the delegates attending the ceremony, the representatives of USTH and University of Luxembourg made remarks on the cooperation between two parties.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest – Principal Rector of USTH expressed his delight at the new milestone in the partnership between USTH and University of Luxembourg. Professor emphasized that this is a great opportunity for academic cooperation for both universities. He also showed his belief in the success of the cooperation plan in the future, including collaboration in a broad range of projects between lecturers and researchers from two parties, teaching/research visits and staff visits.
In addition, Prof. Jens Kreisel – Rector of UNILUX, affirmed that University of Luxembourg is exciting for Bachelor and Master student exchanges in all mutual scientific fields, especially Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. This will create a multicultural and multilingual training environment for the two universities. Professor expected that by this cooperation, the academic programmes and activities for departments and students of both universities will be materially enriched.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Jean-Marc Lavest and Prof. Jens Kreisel signed the cooperation agreement between USTH and University of Luxembourg, opening up opportunities for not only students but also lecturers, researchers and staff of the two parties to experience international training environments and access opportunities on an international scale.
