Job Summary | Science Communication Volunteer will be part of Public & Community Engagement department. OUCRU’s Public & Community Engagement has a range of activities for researchers to communicate about science and research to public audiences. The volunteer will support in communication and general administrative aspects of three projects which facilitate the engagement between researchers and school students and build researchers capacity for public science communication. |
Key Responsibilities
and Tasks |
Prepare content & assist in science communication activities conducted on social
media (OUCRU Facebook pages). Translate materials, often with a focus in natural, social and health sciences. Design communication materials (e.g. event flyers, information leaflet, etc.) Assist in analysis and summarizing feedback for evaluation report of projects. Assist in organising events (workshops, public events) and information management. Support in internal and external communications (e.g. communicate & coordinate work with relevant team members, sending drafted emails to external stakeholders). Support in general administration related to science communication activities and events. |
Selection criteria | 3rd or 4th year university student.
Major in Communication or experienced working with communication projects. Have good understanding of social media. Good writing skill in both English and Vietnamese. Familiar with Graphic design (Adobe Illustrator, Indesign or alternatives). Commitment for the agreed work duration. |
