Bachelor and Master students with an excellent academic performance record are eligible to apply. Bachelor students must have completed at least 4 semesters of their studies before starting the internship. Official enrollment as a student at the home university and high proficiency in English is mandatory (provision of TOEFL or IELTS results and GRE examination results is strongly recommended but not mandatory). The Student Research Internships are open to matriculated non-local university students studying towards a Bachelor or Master degree in the fields of Life Science, Natural Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.
A student research internship lasts 3 months and concludes with a written report and an oral presentation. The precise dates will be agreed individually with the hosting group. Successful candidates will receive a monthly allowance of 861 Euro to support travel, housing, and living costs. Guidance in arranging travel, housing and visa will be provided, if required.
