General Information
The Internal Quality Assurance Council of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) was established by the Rector under Decision No. 640/QĐ-ĐHKHCN dated July 18, 2024. The Council consists of 21 members, including representatives from the Rector Board, academic departments, and other functional units.
1. Functions
The Council is established to provide advisory services to the Rector Board on matters pertaining to quality assurance (QA) at USTH. Its purpose is to maintain, enhance, and improve the quality of education, scientific research, and community service activities, with the aim of progressively fulfilling the expectations of stakeholders.
2. Tasks
The Council has the following tasks:
- To advise on developing strategies, policies, and internal QA systems, and to promote quality culture at USTH, ensuring alignment with the USTH’s vision, mission, core values, and development strategies;
- To advise on developing, amending, supplementing, and adjusting QA regulations applicable at USTH, ensuring compliance with the Education Law, the Higher Education Law, and current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;
- To advise on preparing the USTH’s annual QA plan, implementing inspection, supervising, and evaluating the achievement of objectives;
- To advise on developing self-assessment plans and educational quality accreditation plans at both institutional and program levels, in accordance with the Higher Education Law and relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;
- To advise on adopting reputable international accreditation standards for the USTH’s self-assessment and accreditation plans;
- To advise on formulating annual, medium-term, and long-term plans to enhance the quality of education and on policies to promote USTH’s quality culture.
- To advise on other issues related to internal QA activities, self-assessment, and quality accreditation at both institutional and program levels;
- To implement, urge, inspect, and supervise QA activities as directed and approved by the Rector Board.
