Dr. Nguyen Van Quyen received his Doctorate Degree in Nanochemistry, electrochemistry and Material Science at the University of Paris Diderot, France in 2018. His doctoral thesis received an award from Labex SEAM, France. After graduation, he worked at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota from 2018 to 2021. He is currently a lecturer – researcher of Advanced Materials Science And Nanotechnology Department, University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH).
Dr. Quyen’s research focuses on molecular and organic electronic, surface chemistry, and natural nanomaterials. He is the principal investigator of a research project at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) level under the Program to attract Highly Qualified Young Scientists (2021-2024). In 2022, Dr. Quyen is also in charged of a component of the key science and technology project at VAST-level on manufacturing biodegradable plastics. One of the project’s objectives is the synthesis of nanocellulose from agro-forestry by-products to produce biomaterials applied in food and biomedical industry (e.g.: tissue engineering and wound healing material).
Since 2017, Dr. Quyen has been the main author of many publications published in prestigious journal such as Journal of the American Chemical Society, ACS Applied Materials & Interface, ACS Applied Nano Materials, The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, Advanced Electronic Material, Chemical communication… He is also a reviewer of many scientific journals, for example, ACS Applied Materials & Interface, Nanoscale Advances, Electrochimica Acta…
