Functions
To advise and assist the Rectors in the management of students and graduate students (referred to as students).
Tasks
1. Student Management:
a) To organize the admission and reception of newly admitted students and exchange students to the University; to monitor, consolidate, and prepare reports on matters related to enrolled students, including enrolment, study deferment, withdrawal, forced expulsion, suspension and resumption of studies in accordance with regulations; and to manage, update, and report information related to alumni;
b) To develop regulations, guidelines and policies on student management and student support of the University;
c) To issue student identification codes, student cards and student email accounts; to manage and archive student records;
d) To implement student health insurance, campus healthcare services and coordinate student accommodation support in dormitories;
e) To receive and process administrative procedures including applications for enrolment, study deferment, withdrawal, forced expulsion, suspension and resumption of studies in accordance with regulations;
f) To carry out the consideration of scholarships; to implement tuition fee exemptions and reductions for students in accordance with regulations; to provide financial support for students; to support student loan procedures; and to receive and distribute sponsored scholarships and social allowances for students;
g) To notify and monitor students regarding the payment of tuition fees;
h) To organize orientation activities for new students, end-of-course activities and graduation ceremonies;
i) To organize dialogues between the University and students;
j) To coordinate the monitoring of students’ academic performance and disciplinary training; to conduct student assessment in accordance with regulations; to exchange information on academic results and disciplinary training with students and their families;
k) To implement rewards and disciplinary actions for students;
l) To organize career orientation activities and soft skills training; to provide and counsel on internship and job opportunities for students;
m) To implement programs and activities supporting students’ psychological wellbeing and mental health;
n) To provide information, communication and announcements to students regarding the University’s programs, events and policies;
o) To conduct statistics and surveys on graduate employment outcomes; to coordinate alumni activities of the University;
p) To conduct programs on political thought education, ethics, lifestyle, and legal awareness for students; ensure campus security, prevent crime, and address social issues;
q) To collaborate with political and social organizations both inside and outside the university to organize cultural, arts, sports events, clubs, and charitable activities for students;
r) To act as the point of contact for resolving student-related issues at the University;
s) To coordinate with other departments to carry out relevant tasks.
2. To perform other duties as assigned by the Rectors.
