In the academic year 2026–2027, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) plans to allocate a scholarship fund of VND 16 billion to award scholarships to undergraduate students, master’s students, and doctoral candidates.
USTH hereby announces the application process for the FRESHMAN Scholarship Program for the academic year 2026–2027 for candidates who applied to the University during Round 1 and Round 2 of the 2026 admission cycle, as follows:
I. Scholarship Categories
USTH offers the following scholarships for Vietnamese freshman students:
- Talent Scholarship
- Shaping the Future Initiative Scholarship (SFI)
- Merit Scholarship (MS)
- Science Nurturing Scholarship (SN)
- Opportunities Scholarship (OS)
- Seed of Talent Scholarship (SOT)
- Access Scholarship (AS)

II. Eligibility Requirements and Scholarship Values
The eligibility requirements and scholarship values for undergraduate freshman students are as follows: Regulations on scholarship for USTH students
Additional Notes:
- Students receiving Talent Scholarships (except full scholarships) will automatically be considered for Merit Scholarships or SFI Scholarships with corresponding bonus points based on their achievements.
- If a student meets the conditions for multiple scholarships, only one scholarship with the highest value will be awarded.
III. Scholarship Evaluation Formula
Scholarship Score (100 points) = Academic Score + Bonus Points
- Academic Score (maximum 86 points): Average score of 03 out of 06 subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, English) relevant to the admission subject combination during Grades 11 and 12.
- Bonus Points: Awarded to candidates eligible for direct admission, candidates applying during Round 1 (May–June 2026), and candidates from high schools having cooperation agreements with USTH.

Required attachments:
- High school academic transcript or confirmation of Grade 11 and Grade 12 academic results;
- Prize certificates/supporting documents (if any);
- Certified documents proving family circumstances issued by local authorities or competent agencies (for Opportunities Scholarship applicants only).
2. Application Timeline – Wave 1
- Scholarship application deadline: Before June 3, 2026
- Scholarship result announcement: Before June 15, 2026
