The Department of Advanced Materials Science and Nanotechnology focuses on 3 main research areas:
- Advanced materials for electronics and energy
- Advanced materials for environment, agriculture, and medicine
- Nanophotonics for sensing devices
Two complementary activities to be established in collaboration with other departments and other Universities and research centers in Vietnam:
- Nanomagnetism (with other universities in Vietnam and France)
- Numerical simulations (to be discussed as transverse shared activities at USTH
