From March 16-17, 2019, Francophone Embassies in collaboration with Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vietnam (MOFA), Hanoi People’s Committee, the International Organisation of Francophonie’s (OIF) Asia Pacific Regional Bureau, Delegations, and Institutions in Vietnam (GADIF) organized a ceremony to mark the 2019 International Francophone Day themed “Couleurs Francophones”.

Being an annual event to celebrate International Francophone Day, this year, the significant event was held in Ly Thai To Statue Square, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ha Noi. Various activities took place with the participation of 1,000 French speakers across Vietnam.
With the slogan “Speaking French, please!” the event aimed to send an open and modern message to French speakers around the world.The public had a great opportunities to acknowledge and immerse into cultural atmosphere, cuisine, music, fashion, movies, art and so on from France in specific and French Speaking Community in general. Besides, it is also a chance for participants to admire excellent Flashmob performance from dancers and play Hunting Treasure Games and run a Marathon around Hoan Kiem Lake.
