Introduction

Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH Youth Union) is under the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. In 2021-2022, USTH Youth Union has more than 1000 members, including: 

• 2 Associated Organs of USTH Youth Union (Students Associated Organ and Lecturers – Officers Associated Organ),
• 15 Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Units of students, staff and lecturers (13 Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Units of students corresponding to each training program of the University, 01 Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Unit of staff, 01 Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Unit of lecturers).

The Executive Committee of the USTH Youth Union has 15 members who are excellent lecturers, officers and students of the university.

Functions and Missions

USTH Youth Union performs the following tasks

• Political education, traditions education, organizing and participating in movements,
• Building and consolidating the organization of the Youth Union and contributing to the Party,
• Participating in scientific training and research as USTH is under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
• In recent years, under the leadership of the Communist Party Cell and the Rectorate Board, the Youth Union has organized many effective and highly educational activities, focusing on 3 main directions:
• Volunteering and charity activities,
• Cultural and artistic exchange activities,
• Activities to support learning and scientific research.

Achievements

With the determination, efforts and achievements, USTH Youth Union was honored to be awarded a certificate by Central Agencies’ Bloc Youth Union for excellently completing the Youth Union tasks and youth movement in 2021, along with many certificates for groups and individuals by the VAST Youth Union in the years 2019-2021.
